The police are seeking the assistance of the public in locating a Nigerian national who is wanted for questioning in relation to obtaining $13 million from a woman by false pretence.
In a wanted bulletin issued on Friday, the Guyana Police Force (GPF) said that Chiama Victor Chukwunonso, 41, a Nigerian national of last known addresses, Lot 3538 Stevedore Housing Scheme, North Ruimveldt, and Lot 143 Campbellville Avenue, Georgetown, is wanted by the police for questioning in relation to him allegedly obtaining a sum of money from a woman by false pretence.
According to the bulletin shared to the GPF Facebook page, he “is wanted for questioning in relation to obtaining by false pretence, to wit, $13,000,000 Guyana Dollars; committed on Bhagwaindai Azimulah between January 3, and November 6, 2020.”
It further states that anyone with information that may lead to his arrest, is asked to contact the police on telephone numbers; 226-6978, 225-8196, 226-2870, 226-7065, 227-1149, 226-7065, 225-6940, 911 or the nearest police station. The police have assured that all information will be treated with the strictest confidence.
