An early morning fire today gutted three properties at La Grange, West Bank Demerara.

The fire which started in the lower flat of a home, around 2 am, quickly caught on to neighbouring buildings.

According to initial information received from Acting Fire Chief, Kalamodeen Edoo, the fire was reportedly an act of arson and caused millions in damage as the two other properties that were destroyed housed businesses including the Sip & Chat Chill Spot and ‘Rambo’ which sells items on a wholesale basis.
