Dear Editor,
It was disappointing to note the lateness with which businesses were decorating for our Republic observances.
Some were observed doing so on Republic eve. The lethargic approach to this national event could be attributed to the pandemic and the lack of hype associated with the celebrations.
It is felt though that more could and should have been done to mark this symbol of nationhood.
