Guard charged with unlawful possession of TVs and other items

A guard was released on $60,000 bail on Monday after he was charged with unlawful possession of electronics and other items that are suspected to have been stolen.

Carl Klass, 32, of South Ruimveldt, appeared before Principal Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus in a city court where the charge was read to him.

It is alleged that on December 11th, 2020, at Lot 651 East Ruimveldt, Georgetown, Klass had a 65-inch Samsung 6 series TV, a 32-inch Samsung TV, a 32-inch Element TV, a Pioneer touchscreen car deck, a 6 channel DVR, a Black G-Shock watch, four Fire TV sticks, 15 bottles of cologne and four bottles of alcohol, all suspected to have been stolen or unlawfully obtained.

Klass pleaded not guilty and was granted bail. He is expected to return to court on April 23 for his next hearing.
