This has to be gross disrespect to a grieving family

Dear Editor,

It is unbelievable that weeks after the death, relatives are now being told death took place at a different hospital (“Relatives now told that Lewis-Sahadeo died at NA hospital, not GPHC’ SN March 25). This has to be gross disrespect to the grieving family still coming to grips with their loss, and can be seen as an almost flippant and uncaring attitude being exhibited.

It begs the questions: was a dead body transferred to the hospital where it was thought death occurred?  Was there a transfer at all? And why only now is it being revealed where death actually took place? This unsatisfactory state of affairs demands answers and explanations.

Oh, what a tangled web.

Sincerely,

Shamshun Mohamed
