Educations Minister Priya Manickchand has met with Delisha Budhu who wrote a letter in the last Sunday Stabroek setting out the plight of young persons in Black Bush Polder, Corentyne who need access to jobs, training and other opportunities.
Manickchand made the following post on her page:
“This is Delisha Budhu. She wrote that heartbreaking letter to the First Lady in last Saturday’s Stabroek News. I told you we would find her and work to restore her faith in humanity and systems. I met with her this morning. A bright girl. Who will pursue whatever studies she wants. I will make sure that happens. For her and other young people in this country”.
