Dear Editor,
It has to be the most heartbreaking and depressing story of the year – the case of the amputee who went in whole, was later discovered to be misdiagnosed and came out an amputee (SN April 19, 2021).
How could this happen? This has to be seen as another indictment on the health care system.
A thorough investigation is warranted as is some form of compensation to the individual, whose life is forever changed.
