The police are investigating the death of a miner who was seen drinking at Port Kaituma waterfront, Mabaruma, North West District on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Ken Ramascindo, 49, of Hosororo, Mabaruma.
The police in a statement issued yesterday said that Ramascindo was seen imbibing alcohol at about 15.15 hours and some 15 minutes later proceeded to sit in a chair where he was later found motionless.
A report was made to the Port Kaituma Police Station. Officers attended the scene and examined the body for marks of violence, but none was found.
The man was later taken to the Port Kaituma Hospital and officially pronounced dead on arrival.
A post-mortem examination is expected to be carried out shortly.
