The police in Region Six yesterday arrested three men who they said were wanted for robberies committed under arms.
The men were arrested at a house on Angoy’s Avenue, New Amsterdam, Berbice, during the wee hours of yesterday morning after ranks carried out a search for arms, ammunition, narcotics, and stolen items.
According to a police statement, a raid was carried out “on the home of a 63-year-old female domestic worker where police apprehended three wanted persons.”
The men are a 25-year-old from Ogleton Dam, Angoy’s Avenue and a 29- and 32-year-old.
The men remained in police custody up to yesterday and are assisting with investigations.
