A welder has been charged with trafficking in narcotics and was released on $30,000 bail.
Steve King, 22, a welder of Lot 24 Evan Phillips Park, Agricola, East Bank Demerara, appeared at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court on Monday when he was charged with trafficking in narcotics.
The charge against him states that on May 7, at Evan Phillips Park, Agricola, he had in his possession, 79 grammes of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking.
He denied the charge and was placed on $30,000 bail.
The matter will be called again on May 24.
