Concrete action needed following diaspora conference

Dear Editor,

Congratulations to the Diaspora Unit of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Rosalinda Rasul for the mega conference they organised at the weekend. Over 500 attended from all over the world. For too many, especially the politicians, it was what the Guyanese call a ‘flatform’. Young Minister Ramson was a shining exception.

For most why ten words when one would do. Despite that, it was a great start. Now to build on the hot air with some concrete action in building the new Global Guyana. The nation’s best brains and talents are not in El Dorado.

Find them, use them.

Yours,
John ‘Bill Cotton/Reform’ Mair
