ST JOHN’S, Antigua – The West Indies women’s  team completed week three of their high-performance training camp at the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Stadium in Antigua and one of their assistant coaches, Robert Samuels, said that he was pleased with what he was seeing.

The former West Indies batman and Jamaica captain, has been working closely with Head Coach Courtney Walsh to get the players fully prepared for their next international assignments.

Samuels told CWI Media:

“The bowlers are being challenged so for me that means the batters have basically stepped up their game and the batters have been challenging the bowlers… it’s a good look.”

The camp has kicked into high gear with players running into form as the team prepares to return to competitive international cricket shortly.

The West Indies women’s team will continue to live and train in a bio-secure bubble for the duration of the camp.
