The announcement of Guyana’s representation at the qualifier comes on the heels of star featherweight Keevin Allicock’s qualification to the Olympic Games.

Allicock, a Youth Commonwealth Games silver medalist has been exposed to several high level training camps and competitions. His exposure enabled him to be ranked among the best amateur boxers in the world which paved the way to clinching an Olympic berth in Tokyo, Japan.

The qualifier will be the first international competition that the GBA will send boxers to since 2019.
