NIS now requiring proof of vaccination for entry to offices

The National Insurance Scheme (NIS) has announced that it will be implementing new visitation rules for its offices countrywide, including the requirement that visitors provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19.

The changes, which are in keeping with the current COVID-19 Emergency Measures, are due to come into effect at NIS offices from Monday.

In a press release, the NIS explained that the changes are intended to ensure safe business operations.

The NIS is requiring that all visitors provide proof of vaccination along with a valid form of identification (national ID/driver’s licence or passport). It adds that all unvaccinated persons must make an appointment by phone before visiting the scheme. Appointments can be made by calling the following numbers Head office 225-6853/225-6858, Camp Street office 225-6911 or by calling the NIS local office nearest to you.

It also notes that all visitors shall wear a mask and subject themselves to temperature testing and relevant sanitisation before entering premises.
