The Ministry of Health today said that as August 27, 2021, one more person who tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have died. This takes the total number of deaths from the pandemic to 610.
The latest fatality is one 81-year-old male from Region 3 (Essequibo Islands-West Demerara ) who died while receiving care at the ministry’s facility.
Meanwhile, 28 persons are in the ICU and 180 new cases of the virus have been reported.
