Dear Editor,
When I taught English Language I used to encourage my students to develop their reading and writing skills by reading the newspapers. In yesterday’s Sunday Stabroek I was greeted with the following caption to a letter written in clear, articulate language by, lo and behold, a teacher.
The caption stated and I quote verbatim, `For four years as a teacher I have and continues to be underpaid’.
Were I that teacher I would sue Stabroek News for indecent assault on my letter.
