Fifty-six benefit from microbiology training

Fifty-six persons recently benefited from microbiology training as a result of a collaboration between the University of Guyana’s Berbice Campus (UGBC) and the Nand Persaud Group of Companies.

A UGBC release said that those trained at the November 8th workshop included biology teachers, staff from the Hydrometeorological Centre, the Guyana Sugar Corporation (GuySuCo) and the National Agriculture Research and Extension Institute.

The UGBC release said that the capacity-building sessions were held on October 25-28, 2021 at the Soil and Plant Testing Laboratory located at the University’s Johns Science Centre.

The release said that the event was organised and facilitated by Professor Gomathinayagam Subramanian, Director of the UGBC with support from the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Education and GuySuCo.
