Joseph Mekdeci won the Over-45 division while Daniel Ince clinched the Over-30 section when the BCQS International Masters’ Open Squash Tournament, wrapped up Saturday at the Georgetown Club Squash Courts.
Mekdeci overcame a first set defeat to prevail over Brian Yong 7/11, 11/3, 11/4 and 11/7. Similarly, Ince squeaked past Kristian Jeffrey in a five-set thriller by a 9/11, 12/10, 11/7, 11/13, 11/5 score.
Meanwhile, Sanjay Amin downed Dennis Dias in the third place playoff of the Over-45 division 11/4, 11/7, 1/11 and 12/10. Likewise, Javid Rahaman battled past Jonathan Antczak 11/5, 9/11, 11/6 and 11/4 in the Over-30 third place playoff.
