Increase National Park’s recreational and parking spaces

Dear Editor,

My family frequently uses the National Park for our recreational activity. We go there as a small group to play football at least three times per week. It is an activity which we look forward to since it gives us the opportunity to exercise and breathe in some fresh air. Recently we noticed that space is becoming increasingly cramped – both in the parking lots and the playing areas. Places that were once too small to play, are now unavailable. And the parking lots are filled to capacity by 5pm every day. Can the management of the National Park look into ways to increase the capacity of the park? There are some quite large areas which are not presently being used. Can these fields be cut and levelled and be put into use? An adequate parking lot is also critical for the effective use of the National Park since it is dangerous to have children disembark on active roadways. Hopefully, management will look into increasing the capacity of this important recreational facility.

Sincerely,

M. Abraham
