Bourda market to be cleaned today

The Mayor and Councillors of the City of Georgetown will be conducting a sanitization and cleaning exercise at the Bourda Market and its immediate environs today from 7 am.

A release from the city said that the Guyana Fire Service will be washing the area, and the Public Health department will be sanitizing after the fire service concludes its exercise.

The Town Clerk (ag) and other senior staff will be participating in this exercise.

The city said that no vending will be allowed in these areas as they will be closed to facilitate the exercise.
