Two persons are feared drowned after the tug they were on capsized a short distance away from the Canje Bridge last night.
Commander of Region Six, Boodnarine Persaud this morning confirmed the the river mishap and said that it reportedly happened sometime around 8.45 pm.
According to him, initial information revealed that the tug capsized and eventually sank leaving the two persons trapped inside.
As of this morning efforts were being made to retrieve the tug.
