Body of man found in Bachelor’s Adventure home

The police in Region Four (Demerara-Mahaica) are investigating the death of a 60-year-old man, whose partially decomposed body was found at his Bachelor’s Adventure, East Coast Demerara (ECD) home on Friday afternoon.

The dead man has been identified as Roystan Lam.

Police confirmed that the discovery was made around 17.45hrs by a relative who was visiting Lam.

Lam lived along in a one-storey wooden house.

Reports are that he was last seen alive on Friday, April 29th by neighbours.

According to the police, enquiries revealed that Lam’s cousin visited his residence and called out for him several times but got no answer.

“A foul smell was emanating from the house. The police were summoned, and they found the body of the deceased lying on his back facing up,” the police said.

Lam’s house was not ransacked.

Several persons were questioned and it was revealed that Lam suffered from hypertension, the police said.

While foul play is not suspected, investigators are waiting on an autopsy to determine how Lam died.
