Three injured in Soesdyke\Linden Highway accident

Three persons are now being treated for injuries at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) after they were involved in an accident yesterday along the Soesdyke\Linden Highway, in the vicinity of Yarrowkabra village.

Ayanna Liddell, 19, Mitchell Peters, 36, and a 4-year-old girl were said to have been admitted as patients at the city hospital.

The accident took place at about 11:40 hrs yesterday.

Along with Liddell, Peters and the 4-year-old girl, the others involved in the accident were, 33-year-old Paul Archer, David Warde, 24, and a one-year-old child.

According to a police statement, Archer was the driver of motorcar PAB 2411, which was proceeding north, along the Yarrowkabra road at a fast rate, when he allegedly lost control of the vehicle.

Subsequently, the motorcar turned turtle several times before it came to a halt on the grass parapet.

As a result, the driver and occupants suffered injuries. They were then taken out of the vehicle in an unconscious state by public-spirited citizens and rushed to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre where they were examined by doctors on duty.

Archer, Warde, and the one-year-old, were treated and sent away, while Peters, Liddell, and the 4-year-old were transferred to the GPH for further medical attention.
