Police, EPA agree to work on noise nuisance

A Memorandum of Agreement was signed on Monday between the Guyana Police Force and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to work on noise nuisance.

The agreement was signed in the Commissioner’s Conference Room at Force Headquarters, Eve Leary, Georgetown.

This agreement will be a collaboration between the EPA and the Police in the field of training and enforcement of noise management and also to assist the EPA in mitigating noise nuisance, a release from the police. In recent years, the police and the EPA have come under enormous pressure to do something about noise nuisance.

At the signing were: Force Training Officer – Superintendent Keithon King; Head of the Strategic Planning Unit – Assistant Superintendent Nicola Kendall; Head of the Community Relations Department Superintendent Crystal Robinson; Police Legal Advisor Mandel Moore, among others.
