Bachelor’s Degree in Emergency Nursing

Nurses from the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) were last Friday presented with awards for outstanding performance, after graduating with the Bachelor’s Degree in Emergency Nursing.

A release yesterday from the GPHC said that this programme started on the 25th November 2016 and is being done in collaboration with Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee and the University of Guyana.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the overseas faculty staff were  unable to travel to Guyana last year to end the programme. This programme concluded when the Vanderbilt Faculty held  its Trauma Team Training for both Emergency Medicine and Nursing on the 17th to the 19th May 2022. 

The following high achiever nurses of 2020 and 2021 were presented with awards: Rayan Denny, Latoya Moffatt, Anastasia Williams, Kenroy Moseley, Jomal Warrick, Jewel Benjamin, Betsy Brown and Shauna Broomes.
