Pouderoyen FC defeated Paradise FC of East Coast Demerara by a 3-0 scoreline in a friendly encounter on Sunday at the Paradise Community Centre ground.
An own goal unfortunately opened the scoring for the visitors in the 10th minute as the defender inadvertently directed an attempted clearance past his goalkeeper. Chad Matthews then recorded a double to seal the win.
He opened his account in the 47th minute with a volley into the far corner, after controlling a cross with his chest. The result was then sealed in the 87th minute, when he struck a powerful effort past the goalkeeper, after racing onto a through pass.
