The curtains came down on the recent 13th annual GBTI Open tennis tournament which was held at the GBTI tennis facility in Bel Air Park, Georgetown.

For two weeks, the Guyana Tennis Association (GTA) executed an exceptional tournament which witnessed spectacular play from the veterans and the new crop of juniors. It also brought together the tennis community in larger numbers only seen prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.

GBTI Marketing Manager, Pamela Binda, emphasised that the 42 years of partnership between the bank and the GTA indicates its support of youth development in not only sport, but all sectors. It also demonstrates that the bank is consistent with its corporate social responsibility.

Binda also noted that the bank is pleased to see the tournament expanding to include participants from the US, Canada and Mexico.

President of the GTA, Cristy Campbell, expressed gratitude on behalf of the association and the entire tennis fraternity to GBTI for another year of sponsorship and harmonious relations.
