I wrote a poem on Kowsilla

Dear Editor,

I recall in the late 70s when I wrote a poem on “Kowsilla”. This poem, written with tears in my tender years, was highly appreciated by the late Ex-president Janet Jagan. She once sought my permission to refer to the poem in an international Soviet Union publication.

I recall a verse from the poem: Had I been there mother, I would have wept tears of blood, And mother, I would have been earlier reborn, To fight for justice.

Perhaps Mr. Al Creighton, who referred to writers selecting Kowsilla as a subject of poems, may remember I contributed too.

Sincerely,

Krishna Nand Prasad
