The VP should be able to determine the budget, required by all citizens, to live a normal lifestyle

Dear Editor,

Having read a letter captioned “My Trip Guyana” in another newspaper (Aug 13) about the complaints of the public on corruption and shoddy government infrastructure work, some questions creep into my brain for the Vice President, the most powerful politician in Guyana.

As the most senior member of the Cabinet and one who is most knowledgeable of the needs of Guyanese, including members of Parliament and Cabinet, can the VP please advise what is a reasonable amount of money required by citizens, your colleagues as well, to live a normal, comfortable, decent lifestyle?

Sincerely,

Shriram Ketwaru
