A 48-year-old man was taken to the hospital last evening after he was shot during an armed robbery.
According to a police statement, two males riding a black motorcycle robbed Jermaine Davis of his cellphone last night at around 7:30 pm at Castello Housing Scheme.
Investigations disclosed that Davis was riding his motorcycle heading east through the street when a pillion rider discharged two rounds in his direction. Davis’ left thigh was hit by one of the bullets, causing him to fall after which one of the suspects grabbed his phone before escaping.
Davis was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he is currently being treated and in a stable condition.
