A release from the ministry said that Croal lauded the investment, which he stated will complement the government’s national housing programme and introduce new, affordable and time-efficient technology in Guyana’s construction sector. The Minister also emphasised the employment opportunities that will be provided through the company. He called on more private sector investors to take advantage of the housing boom.

In her address,  Rodrigues also encouraged more public-private partnerships to transform the sector. To this end, the release said that she pointed to the recently concluded International Building Expo 2022, where collaboration with the New Building Society and the Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry, led to approximately 500 Guyanese being approved for mortgages in a matter of days.

The house features two bedrooms, one bathroom, and living and dining quarters. It was constructed in just six weeks using galvanized steel. All internal and external materials are non-combustible and termite resistant.
