The Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) on Tuesday received several donations.

According to a GPHC press release, the donations included a number of items for the Maternity Post Natal and Cardiology Departments.

Vandetta Carter and Jeneal Batson of the Volunteer Youth Corps Inc. handed over its donation to Sisters Holder and Ferguson from the Maternity Post Natal Department. The gift includes women’s sanitary items, pampers, hand sanitizers, shampoo and conditioner, dish washing liquid and canned food.

BPI Guyana Inc., distributor for APOTEX pharmaceutical products, also donated two tablets to the Cardiology Department. The release stated that the tablets are expected to enhance and improve the department’s educational programme. Dr. Michael Chin accepted the tablets on behalf of the GPHC from Bharat Boodhoo of BPI.
