Neither my landline nor DSL service has been restored, even with all bills being paid

Dear Editor,

Please allow me to express my frustration at GTT’s poor service. My landline (number provided) service has been disconnected about a month now. Prior to it being disconnected, we weren’t able to use it for about a year. For that year, whenever the phone is picked up all you hear was static to render you deaf. So we stopped paying the bill after numerous calls to GTT to fix it did not resolve the problem.

From the month it [the phone] was disconnected the DSL service started acting up. For an entire month it was on for a couple minutes and off for hours at a time until it completely stopped working. Calls were made again to GTT and they advised that due to the landline being off it’s affecting the DSL service. We went in and re-applied for the service and they said it would be reconnected. It has been weeks now and neither landline nor DSL service has been restored, even with all bills being paid.

All the CSR’s have been promising is that someone would call and when asking to speak to a supervisor the calls are cut off. Why is it that problems are only solved when persons take to writing letters in the newspaper and dressing down GTT?

Sincerely,

Nigel Kewley
