A search is ongoing for a man who allegedly drowned while visiting the Orinduik Falls on Sunday.
He has been identified as Gladstone Haynes.
Reports are that Haynes was among of group of persons who departed the Eugene F. Correia International Airport for a tour.
Once the tour concluded, it was discovered that one person from the group was missing. He was later identified as Haynes.
The relevant authorities were immediately informed. A search and rescue operation consisting of members of the Guyana Police Force (GPF) and Guyana Defence Force (GDF) was launched.
Up to last night, there was no sign of Haynes
