Consider gym accessories when making that gift list

Driving to the gym, I zoomed past a few houses on the commute but not fast enough not to hear Christmas carols being played in some of them. It made me realise that the jolly season is almost here and it is time to start crafting a Christmas list. Working out in all its forms is back and so are the fitness gifts that come with it.

Whether it’s for yourself, a friend, client or loved one, here are a few gift ideas for gym lovers.

A gym bag

A good gym bag is a great gift idea for anyone. It is as important as the gym wear you work out in. You need it to be both big enough to hold a change of clothes and shoes and small enough to fit into a locker. Adidas and Nike duffel bags tick all of those boxes. Keys and the like can be stored for fast access in the front zip pockets.

A massage gun

Massage guns have evolved and have become smarter and quieter than ever. They are the ultimate tool for percussive therapy enthusiasts. Naturally, they come complete with a multitude of attachments to target different muscle groups and there’s even  some with a built-in OLED screen which can show off visually-guided routines, syncing with the companion app for customised sessions as well.

Wireless earbuds

There is no denying that any workout is amplified by the genre of music of your choice. Nothing beats a workout paired with jamming to your favourite artistes and tracks. To get you into that zone and keep you hyped, a pair of wireless earbuds is a must have for those gym lovers who cannot rely on the gym’s choice of music.

Smartwatch

Today’s watches are much smarter and do more than just tell the time. Smart-watches are capable of tracking your movements throughout the day and encourage you to meet your fitness goals. They can track how often you stand, how much you move, and how many minutes of exercise you do. Smartwatches also help you to track steps, calories burned, sleeping patterns and even monitor your heart rate.

A high quality water bottle

More than a smartwatch or pair of sweat-proof buds, a quality water bottle is a go-to workout essential. No amount of heart-rate tracking or expertly selected gym playlist is going to quench your thirst after 30 minutes of working out. A high quality water bottle is a great gift idea. There are some with a double-walled, vacuum-insulated technology, that will also keep your drink cold for up to 24 hours.
