`Nationals’ back after two-year absence

The National Schools Cycling, Swimming and Track and Field Championships will take place from November 27 at various venues across the country.

The details were confirmed by posts made by the Ministry of Education (MOE) yesterday on its official Facebook and Instagram pages.

According to the posts, the MOE and the Guyana Teacher’s Union, will host the  60th edition of the fixture from November 27 with the curtain closing on December 2.

The event is set to make its return after a two-year absence which was due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The nation’s best student/athletes and teachers from the 15 districts will compete for medals and bragging rights in swimming at the National Aquatic Centre, cycling at the National Park and athletics at the National Track and Field Centre at Leonora.
