In Wednesday’s edition of Stabroek News, there was a report on a fire which occurred along Princess Elizabeth Road in New Amsterdam at what was described as an abandoned building.
Stabroek News has since been advised by the owner of the property that the building had not been abandoned. A vagrant had occupied the building and various efforts to have him removed had failed.
Stabroek News regrets the error.
