Two more women die at GPH maternity ward

Two more pregnant women, 31-year-old Sandy Ranga, and a 25-year-old, died at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPHC) after being admitted and waiting to give birth. The babies also died

According to reports, Ranga died yesterday while the other woman succumbed on January 1st at the same health institution. It was said that both women started to develop complications. An investigation has also been launched into their deaths.

GPHC in a release yesterday expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and assured that it will make every effort to provide all the necessary support during the difficult time and to render any assistance and information needed.

Just last month 38-year-old Tiffany Jeffrey died at the GPH some two days after she delivered her baby. 

And in November, two pregnant females, ages 40 and 19, also succumbed. It was reported that the 40-year-old woman died at the Ocean View Infectious Disease Hospital.
