Funeral held for cop killed at Mahaicony

The police top brass yesterday gathered for the funeral of Police Detective Corporal 20922 Dwayne McPherson who was killed during an incident on January 1st at Huntley, Mahaicony. McPherson and a fisherman, Kishan Budburgh were killed in the incident. Two policemen are suspects in the case and are on open arrest. The police have said little on the investigation.

Present yesterday at the Liverpool Community Centre in Liverpool Village, East Coreyntne, Berbice for the funeral were Home Affairs Minister Robeson Benn, Commissioner of Police  Clifton Hicken, Deputy Commissioner ‘Administration’ Calvin Brutus, Deputy Commissioner ‘Law Enforcement’  Wendell Blanhum and Head of Special Branch Errol Watts along with others.
