The overseer of the Number 52-74 Neighbourhood Democratic Council (NDC), Corentyne has been dismissed by the Local Government Commission following a series of allegations against him.
According to a source, the NDC received a letter from the Commission dismissing Ravindra Dass as the overseer effective as of January 1, 2023.
Dass when contacted yesterday by Stabroek News on his dismissal, said “When I am ready you will be contacted.”
Meanwhile, according to the source at the NDC, there were several allegations levelled against the overseer pertaining to the removal of sand from the Number 63 Beach, among other issues.
The No. 52-74 NDC is the largest in the region.
