Brazilian instructors lauded for training at jungle school

The Training Corps of the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) has bid farewell to three Brazilian Jungle Instructors who have completed their stint at the Colonel Roberts Mitchell Jungle and Amphibious Training School (CRMJATS), Makouria.

A release from the GDF said that they assisted in the jungle training from the Non-Commissioned to Officer Cadet level.

Captain Renderson Georg Eneas, First Sergeant Maxwell Wallace Henrique Alves Santana, and First Sergeant Herberth Carlos Cardoso were honoured by the Corps and presented with the GDF jungle badge at a ceremony held in their honour.

The release said that the Officer and Ranks played significant roles in the training of Officers and Ranks of the GDF in jungle warfare skills, made possible through bilateral relations between the two Forces.

Major Dwayne Carter thanked the Officer and Ranks for their service and expressed the need and importance of continued collaboration in jungle training within the GDF.

As part of the arrangement between the two militaries, the Brazilian teams are rotated on a yearly basis.
