At about 10:50 am today, acting on information received, Sergeant Johnson and other ranks went to Bushy Park, East Bank Essequibo where they made contact with Ryan Wilson, a 29-year-old Contractor of Vergenoegen who escaped lawful custody on January 13th, 2023.
The police said that he was arrested, told of the allegation, and cautioned. Wilson was escorted to Leonora Police Station where he is presently awaiting charges.
The second escapee in the incident, Shamar Singh had turned himself in to Police custody on Monday.
