ANSA McAl adopting Parkside Steel Orchestra

ANSA McAL Trading Limited on Wednesday officially announced that it will be adopting Parkside Steel Orchestra (a steel pan ensemble) which will be renamed “ANSA McAL Parkside Steel Orchestra.”

With the return of the steel pan Panorama competition for the Mashramani celebrations, ANSA McAL (Guyana) Managing Director, Troy Cadogan, said that the company believes it is the opportune time to showcase its continued support for the arts and culture of Guyana.

A donation of $1 million was made by ANSA  to Parkside Steel Orchestra to take advantage of opportunities and to showcase its talents while assisting in meeting expenses it might need to overcome when it holds its performances. In addition, ANSA is looking to explore other options for the long term, but for now is going to support the orchestra for one year.

Chairperson of Parkside Steel Orchestra, Kelisha Edwards expressed gratitude at the ANSA move  and ANSA Corporate Communications Officer, Alleya Hamilton, noted, “This is a trailblazing partnership for us as a corporation to be a part of this initiative…”
