Residents of Swan Village on the Soesdyke-Linden Highway will be the beneficiaries of a new concrete road set to be constructed in the community this year.

Minister in the Ministry of Public Works, Deodat Indar told residents at a consultation on Saturday that the road will be made of rigid pavement concrete and will span from the Soesdyke-Linden Highway, towards Swan’s community ground.

Representing the first road to be fully constructed in the community, Indar said the project will be shortly streamlined, following the completion of the design and procurement processes.

While imploring contractors from the community to take advantage of the opportunity to bid for the works,  Indar said residents will also benefit from employment on the project.

Indar was accompanied by Minister Kwame McCoy who engaged residents on concerns related to the agri-sector.
