Police in Regional Division No. 2 are currently investigating the drowning of two women today at Feather Beach, Redlock, Essequibo Coast.
The deceased have been named as:
1. Akesha Tyril, 26,
2. Kaywattie Lalbachan, 25.
According to the police, a witness said they were all in the water bathing and dancing when suddenly the water pulled them out and she grabbed onto some grass and pull herself in along with Tyril who held onto her foot, however Lalbachan and Tyril went down in the water. Their bodies were later recovered.
