Greaves to stage second cycling event tomorrow at the National Park

Former national rider, Alanzo Greaves will stage his second criterium fixture for the month tomorrow in the inner circuit of the National Park. The event is set to roll off from 11:00hrs and is geared towards attracting the cream of the nation’s riders vying for cash and bragging rights.

Last week’s winner, Jamaual John will be gunning for a repeat following the dominant season opener performance last Saturday.

John rode like a man possessed, winning the 30 laps event by lapping the rest of the starters and setting a new lap record of 1m: 55s on the 1475m circuit.

Besides the winner’s prize, the 26 year-old also pocketed 16 of the 30 sprint prizes on offer.

It was another stellar performance by the Team Foundation standout who has dominated the local circuit for the better part of the last three years.

He will however be the marked man in the peloton and other standout riders like Briton John (winner of the Beacon Cafe event), Robin Persaud, Alex Mendes, Chris Griffith and Aaron Newton can pedal away with the spoils.
