GEB guard’s body recovered from Demerara River

The body of the GEB Security guard who reportedly slipped and fell in the Demerara River while he was on duty was found floating in the Demerara River in the vicinity of the Pritipaul’s Singh’s Wharf, Peter’s Hall, East Bank Demerara on Thursday.

Stabroek News had previously reported that the twenty seven year-old Zephyr Stanislaw, was performing his regular guard duties when he slipped and fell into the Demerara River, disappearing beneath the water’s surface. When Stanislaw’s body was recovered it was still clad in the GEB security’s uniform. The body was also in a state of partial decomposition.
