Accolade giants, Trophy Stall, will sponsor today’s Lusignan Golf Club’s 18-hole Medal Play tournament at the Lusignan Golf Course, East Coast Demerara

The event is expected to feature most of the country’s premier golfers who will  tee off from 12.30 hours. The players will be vying for a one to three finish as well as overall Best Gross, Longest Drive and Nearest to pin on the lush greens.

Lusignan Golf Club’s Public Relations Officer, Paton George, said Trophy Stall has been one of the main sponsors of the Club for over a decade, “working with us in a truly beneficial way.”

“We get a lot of our trophies and memorabilia from Trophy Stall and in turn they host a yearly tournament. The tournament is always exciting. This year we expect the course to play very long because the ball will not roll out that much. We expect a very competitive competition and winner will definitely have to withstand the conditions,” he said.

George added that while the grounds are in good condition, it will be a soft fairway as there would not be much bounce and roll.

The executive thanked Trophy Stall for its  support and said he welcomed a fruitful collaboration moving forward.

All participants are advised to contact the club’s manager on the day of the tournament to collect their scorecards, pay their tournament fees and proceed to their allocated tee boxes to begin play promptly.

Once on their respective tee boxes, players must await the sounding of the horn or siren as indication to begin teeing off. Presentation of prizes will be held at the completion of the tournament at approximately 17.30 hours.
