A man was yesterday sentenced to 18 months’ imprisonment for the offence of unlawful wounding.
According to police, 22-year-old unemployed Ezra Bacchus, of Melanie Public Road, East Coast Demerara, appeared at the Cove and John Magistrate’s Court yesterday before Magistrate Fabayo Azore, where the charge of unlawful wounding was read to him.
The Administration of Justice Act (AJA) was applied to the accused where he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 18 months’ imprisonment.
