Everyday drama

Dear Editor,

The video about the closing of the gate at an ECD primary school, thereby preventing students from purchasing snacks from vendors, over alleged disagreements about fees to be paid, begs the question – what fees?  Is the school selling vending spots?  Is this approved by the relevant body?

If there is a disagreement over fees, was this an arbitrary imposition? But comments on the video relate a different story of the school opening a canteen, which allegedly is not stocked, but the children cannot come out to purchase from the vendors because of the locked gate. Every day is some drama.

Sincerely,

Shamshun Mohamed
